What can I plant right now?
Time to Plant Onions, Potatoes, Radishes & Peas!.jpg)
Onions - Plant outside during April or May, (this year you can get started earlier!). Plants should be about 3" apart and planted in rows 12-15" apart. If you would like to harvest some of the onions during the growing season as green onions, you can plant them as close as 2" apart. Pull every other onion during the growing season, leaving some to fully mature.
Potatoes - Plant between April - July. Potatoes should be about 14" apart and planted in rows that are 3 ft. apart. Sow the potatoes at a depth of 3-4".
Radishes - Radishes can be planted from April - September. Space them 1-2" apart and make the rows about 12" apart. Radishes can be sown at a depth of 1/4".
Peas - Plant between March - May. Peas can be sown 2" apart and with rows 3 ft. apart. Sow peas at a depth of 2-3".
